Stage 2: Self-evaluation Forms

I have found the Stage 2 projects really empowering and feel that I have learnt a lot about my own creative practice so that I have been able to develop my specialist practice in fine art. I explored a variety of sources of inspiration and different visual media so that I could base my work on ideas generated by using new media, techniques, processes and context. For example above is a typographic piece (LHS) about body and identity printed onto a hand stained cartridge paper using an old printing press and letter blocks. Whereas, the other image (RHS) is a relief monoprint of a raven heraldic design printed using black water-based ink on brilliant white photocopy paper. This stage saw us visiting Pitt Rivers Museum in Oxford, which was a truly inspiring trip that provided me with lots of ideas about my Art of Storytelling project.
