This Stage 1 project is about the diagnostic investigation of the Art of the Anthropocene... a hypothetical geological era dominated by the impact of human intervention in the environment. The aim was to research, design and build a model of an 'invisible place' that interprets a key issue that reflects this concept of human interaction and I have chosen raising awareness of our ecosystem. I designed a model of the place hidden beneath our feet, the soil ecosystem with tree roots, fungi and soil invertebrates using a waste computer box, cardboard, paper, string and small plastic animals. It represents a mobile display area for public engagement and education.
