This is college studio workspace at Reigate School for Art with a variety of examples of my artwork and images from other sources put up for creative inspiration. It changes on a weekly basis as I add more work and I have created a significant body of artwork during Stage 1 of FAD as I've diagnosed my creative practice and investigated new ideas and methods. On RHS image you can see the exhibition of my Stage 1 creative practice, which focuses on works inspired by words or phrases that I interpreted using visual media. I investigated my creative practice by producing pieces of work using photography, linocut, gel block & typographic printing, collage and illustration.
Contextual Studies Essay
In addition to the two mini-projects & four Stage 1 projects required to complete Unit 1: Diagnostic Investigation into Creative Practice students were tasked with writing a practice essay. The brief was assigned in our Contextual Studies sessions and its purpose was to encourage us to explore our creative practice in a broader context compared with 2-3 chosen artists.
