Stage 1 TypoGraphic project is all about communicating my ideas about three topics, entitled The Everyday, Political and Known Unknowns, using a range of methods of generating typographic design. I've always been fascinated by 'word art' so approached this task enthusiastically The artwork on LHS was a fortuitous outcome of me playing with words at college over breakfast... it is a visual map of my London using words. Whereas the creative piece on RHS is for my Category B (Political) task where I chose a quote about biology and decided to try applying an ancient method of hand typography called 'illuminated initials' used in bibles.
