Thank you so much for all those enthusiastic partcipants that joined Lisa Duncan & I on a hot summer's for Wednesday's Tree Wisdom Walk. It was a joy to share the local woods & trees with you all. Over a couple of hours we identified about 2o different trees & shrubs, explored their biology & discussed their cultural heritage in terms of mythology, medicinal & practical uses. I focused on their connection to the ancient Celtic Tree Calendar & the Ogham Alphabet, sharing information about everyone's birth tree too.
Lisa said afterwards: "A special thank you to Paul, whose breadth and depth of tree knowledge made the walk truly special. We came away feeling like we'd only just touched the surface of what he has to share. There is clearly so much more to learn from him about the trees we walked among. I will send separately the tree charts Paul passed on to me. Given how much we all enjoyed it, we'll no doubt be inviting Paul back to walk with us again, and we'll be sure to let you know as soon as we're organising the next one."
If you would like to join Lisa & I on another workshop, we have a Walking Stick and Talking Stick Making Workshop coming up on the 18th of October. You’ll be able to
learn more about trees again, this time from a creative point of view!
